IBS 32 - God is light

IBS 32
John 1:5-7 (UNITY)
"God is light and in Him is no darkness at all" practicing the truth means to walk in the light, He is in the light. If we walk in the light we walk with one another in fellowship of the light. The light we walk in, is to be Christ like, is seeking the truth of the living word, is to preach Jesus our lord and savior; and to be pure in the eyes of God by the blood of His Son Jesus Christ. In all these things we share common values, beliefs, purpose. With the fellowship we have in the light we Christians together all thrive on the strong Unity.
First, we are not perfect nor do we look upon ourselves to be perfect, we are sinners and are well aware of it, so we look to be like Christ and the life He led. Secondly, we build our lives life are one, and never divided. Furthermore we all share the same command to disciple to the world, preaching everywhere that Jesus is Lord and savior. Lastly we all come undeserving but are condemned because of the grace of God. We are all cleansed from sin by the blood of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
For my application I  will share the areas that I have lacked in to two of my brothers that do not lack in those areas; bringing those areas into the light so that in unity I may share the same strengths in fellowship.

IBS 11 - Faith brings patience

Revelation 1:9  I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. John, writing Revelation talks about his time in exile on the island of patmos. For eighteen months John's perseverance and patience did not waiver. John, in this section of the Bible, displays a clear example of how we as Christians should act while suffering for Christ. Enduring affliction with perseverance and patience is only done in the spirit! John was strengthened by the spirit of God. Sustained by the spirit, even when in chain's on account of Christ's name sake. God gave John the perevilge to write the last book of the Bible in this time of exile. IBS 10 - Joy in being patient

Colossians 1:11 "Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy." In Paul's letter to the Colossians He is giving thanks and prayer to God for the faith of the Colossians. Prayer for their fulfilment in the knowledge of God's will. Going on to speak of the manner worthy of the Lord. Patience, longsuffering, endurance, with joy! For verse 1:11 this is the manner Paul writes of and it's an important one to understand. Naturally the flesh does not respond with joy during times of suffering. Christians find the ability to behave in such manner because it's a manner of the spirit. With the spiritual wisdom and understanding we find happiness in servanthood for the Lord. Here the lesson is that God strengthens his children to endure longsuffering and we should have joy for the  strength to do His will .
