IBS 11 - Faith brings patience

Revelation 1:9  I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
John, writing Revelation talks about his time in exile on the island of patmos. For eighteen months John's perseverance and patience did not waiver. John, in this section of the Bible, displays a clear example of how we as Christians should act while suffering for Christ. Enduring affliction with perseverance and patience is only done in the spirit! John was strengthened by the spirit of God. Sustained by the spirit, even when in chain's on account of Christ's name sake. God gave John the perevilge to write the last book of the Bible in this time of exile. God has a purpose for everything! We may not understand what He's doing right away. But if we trust and obey having faith He'll reveal those things to us. John, even when the odds were against him while in exile, trusted and fulfilled God's plan; the Revelation to the seven churches. When everything is against us as Christians we must not lose faith. Down to your last breath, keep the faith. God is the master in command and above all! Which means He see when we cannot. Having power in the faith, is all we have and all we need. Faith allows the spirit of God to work in our lives. Let us remember where there is much faith there is much patience. In applying this message to my life today I will write the message faith brings patience somewhere I can see it, to remind myself how to have patience.
