Uganda IBS 6 - No longer enslaved by sin

Romans 6:6
"We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin."
In Paul's letter to the Romans he has just got through a section where he speaks about Adam and Christ. Adam the one who brought sin into the world and death to all men. Jesus the one who brought justification to sin, that grace might lead man to eternal life through Him. Now in Chapter 6 we who are dead to sin have become alive to God. For Christ defeated death in the the glory of the Father. Therefore, verse 6:6 death to our old selves. That we should walk in the same newness of life, a life to God. No longer being a slave to sin, but to righteousness by the grace of God. To know this important fact of the bible means that we as Christians are not controlled by sin. Knowing the bible says this I no longer have to confuse Satan's abilities. That Satan has no power over my choice to sin or not to sin. This verse clearly states that I am free from sin and under grace. If I do sin it is my choice, but knowing the truth I confess and ask forgiveness under grace. Moving forward with righteousness to live for God. To apply this to my life today
